The full product editor: text, prices, photos, attributes, variants, categories, inventory and publishing.

Quick answer

In Products, tap a product's name to open its editor. There you change the title, subtitle, description and prices; upload more photos; choose sizes and colors under Attributes; assign it to one or more Categories and decide whether it's Published. Changes stay pending until you click Save in the bottom bar.

On this page

Every product has a full editor. To open it, go to Products and tap the product's name. In this example we configure UrbaStyle's Tenis Blancos Clásicos (Classic White Sneakers).

Attributes, variants and categories#

The product's sizes, color and category
  • Attributes: each catalog attribute (for example Talla calzado (Shoe size), Color, Talla ropa (Clothing size)) has a search box. Tap Search or add… and choose the values this product has.
  • Variants: Shelfkat shows how many combinations the chosen values generate.
  • Categories: choose one or more. The Organization panel on the right shows the same categories as quick buttons.

Note

On the Free plan, each product supports up to 3 sizes and 3 colors. Paid plans have unlimited variants.

Inventory and out of stock#

What you see here depends on the catalog's inventory mode:

  • Off: you'll see Inventory is off for this catalog with the link Turn it on in Inventory. In the meantime, you can use the Sold out toggle to mark a product with no stock.
  • Simple: turn on Control stock and enter the Quantity (or the quantity for each size and color in the table). Enter what you physically have; if orders have reserved units, the page tells you how many are still available.
  • Advanced: quantities are shown but not typed here. Click Edit stock to adjust them, or Set up stock if the product doesn't have a quantity yet.

More in How inventory works.

Publishing and actions#

  • Published: on, the product shows in your store; off, it stays a draft.
  • Preview: opens the product page exactly as the customer sees it.
  • Duplicate product: creates a copy (handy for similar products).
  • Delete product: removes it from the catalog. If it already has inventory movements, Shelfkat archives it to preserve the history.

Save your changes#

While you edit, Unsaved changes appears at the bottom with Discard and Save. Click Save and you'll see the Product saved notice.

What your customer sees#

Tapping the product in the store opens its page with the photos, subtitle, price, description and the size and color buttons.
