Create your first product

How to create a product from scratch with a photo, name and price, and what else you can fill in under More options.

Quick answer

Go to Products and click + New. Upload a photo, enter the name and price, and click Save and publish. That's enough for it to show up in your store. Under More options you can add a description, categories, attributes (sizes, colors), a previous price, stock and a wholesale price.

If you created your store with the wizard, you already have some products. Here we create one more from scratch: UrbaStyle's Tenis Chunky Blancos (White Chunky Sneakers).

1. Open the product list#

In the menu, go to Products. At the top you'll see how many products you have and your plan's limit (for example 4/20 products on Free).

The Products list
  • The Search product… box filters by name.
  • The All, Published and Draft tabs filter by status.
  • Favorites shows the products your customers marked with the heart.
  • Each row's … menu has more actions.

2. Click + New#

The New product panel opens: with a photo, name and price you can already sell; you can adjust the rest later.

New product with the minimum details
FieldWhat to enter
PhotoTap Upload photo. On Free you can upload 2 photos per product; on paid plans, up to 5 or 8.
NameShort and clear: product type and main feature. E.g.: Tenis Chunky Blancos (White Chunky Sneakers).
SubtitleOptional. A phrase under the name, for example the material. Only shows if you turn it on in Design → Cards and cart.
PriceJust the number, no thousands separators or symbol. The currency is the catalog's (e.g.: COP).

3. More options (optional)#

Expand More options to fill in the rest without leaving the panel:

The product's More options
  • Attributes: sizes, colors or materials. Create them first in Attributes (Manage attributes).
  • Categories: which section of the store it appears in. See Categories.
  • Description: details, materials, measurements and care. The sparkle button asks AI for a draft (Products with AI).
  • Previous price: shows crossed out next to the price to display a discount.
  • Track stock: keeps the available quantity (requires turning on inventory).
  • Wholesale price: a different price for bulk purchases.

4. Save#

  • Save and publish: the product shows up in your store right away.
  • Save as draft: you save it without showing it yet.

You'll see the Product saved and published notice and the product in the list.

Tip

Square or vertical photos, with a clean background and good light, make your store look professional. Keep the same background style across all your products.

What's next#

To add more photos, sizes, colors and categories to an existing product, go to Configure a product.
