Create products with AI
Where Shelfkat uses artificial intelligence: your catalog draft, product descriptions and attribute values, and how credits are spent.

Shelfkat's AI works in three places: in the Build your catalog wizard (AI button) it writes your store's description and a draft of products with title, description, price and photo; on each product, the sparkle button next to Description writes the text; and under Attributes, Create with AI suggests values like sizes or colors. Every use spends AI credits from your plan (Free comes with 30 a month).

Shelfkat's AI saves you the slowest part of building a catalog: writing. You provide the real photos and review; AI proposes the text.

1. Your catalog draft (wizard)#
When you create a store, the Build your catalog wizard asks for a sentence about what you sell. Clicking AI:
- writes your store description and the WhatsApp message;
- proposes products with title, description and price;
- generates a reference photo for each product.
The more specific your sentence, the better the draft. Include:
- what you sell (T-shirts, cargo pants, white sneakers);
- for whom (men and women, kids, pets);
- price range and currency (from 59,000 COP);
- something that sets you apart (nationwide shipping, handmade).
Afterward, swap the generated photos for your own and fix anything that needs it. Step by step in Create your store.
Tip
To create another catalog with AI later on, go to All catalogs → Catalogs → Create with AI.
2. Product descriptions#
In the New product panel (under More options) and in each product's editor there's a sparkle button next to Description (Suggest with AI / Write with AI). Fill in the name and upload the photo before clicking it: AI uses those details, the categories and your store's description to write the text. The description limit is 600 characters.
Warning
Always review what AI writes before saving: measurements, materials and prices must match your actual product. If AI doesn't respond, write the description by hand and try again later.
3. Attribute values#
Under Attributes, click Create with AI and describe what you need, for example Sneaker sizes in Colombia, from 36 to 43. AI proposes the list, you fix it, and click Save suggestions.

Best practices#
- Always use your own photos: AI photos are just a reference; your customers buy what they see.
- Edit the tone: AI may use expressions from another country (for example regional slang). Adjust them to how you talk to your customers.
- Real prices: AI estimates prices from your sentence; confirm them one by one.
