Shipping by zone
How to set shipping rates by city, free shipping above an amount, in-store pickup, and what happens with cities you do not list.
Quick answer
In Sales tools → Shipping settings add zones with their cities and rate, set the amount from which shipping is free, and choose what to do with cities that are not listed. Your customer picks their city and sees shipping in the total before ordering.

Showing the shipping cost before ordering avoids questions and abandoned orders. If you charge by city, set it up here once.
Set up your zones#
- Open Sales tools → Shipping settings.
- Click Add zone and type the Zone name, for example Bogotá area.
- Type the Rate and the Cities of that zone, separated by commas.
- If you want, type Free shipping from for that zone.
- Save.
Note
A city can only be in one zone. Each catalog allows up to 50 zones and 500 cities.
Free shipping and store pickup#
- Free shipping: set a global amount. The customer sees You need $X more for free shipping.
- Allow in-store pickup: type the Pickup address. The customer chooses between Delivery and Pickup in store.
Cities you do not list#
Choose what happens under If city is not listed:

| Show "To be arranged" | Shipping is agreed with you over WhatsApp. |
| Charge flat rate for rest of country | A single rate is charged. |
| Reject orders | Orders to that city are not accepted. |
With Require customer city on, the cart asks for the city before sending the order.
What your customer sees#
In the cart they type their City, choose the method and see Shipping to Cali: $X, Free shipping or Shipping to be arranged. The total and the WhatsApp message include shipping.
Note
Shelfkat calculates the rate by city. There is no shipping by weight or distance, and no carrier tracking.
